Rebuilding My Devotional Life in Christ Jesus

John 21

Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
(John 21:22 KJV)

One of the reasons why most of us believers struggle to fulfill purpose is that many of us allow ourselves to be distracted. We focus too much on the wrong things and the wrong people. Sometimes it may even not be a sinful thing but just because we give ourselves to it, we are distracted from our purposes. We must never forget that Ephesians 2:10 reveals that we have been saved into Christ unto good works which has been prepared ahead of us.

Everyone has a unique path and we must follow the Lord to discover our path and what He has called us to do.  One thing is certain we are not on this earth for the fun of it. He intentionally put us here on the earth for a specific reason that only He can reveal. In John 21, the Apostle Peter nearly got sidetracked by taking his eyes of the Lord Jesus to focus on the Apostle John. This caused the Lord to rebuke Him to maintain His focus. Child of God pay attention to the Lord and He will see you through.

Prayer

Father God, I ask that I may see clearly the path cut out for me so that I may never be distracted. I ask all this in Jesus’ name.
