It was sad news when the disciples realized that Jesus would no longer be with them. Their one source of power, miracles and deep revelations would no longer be with them. Little did they know that his departure would give the entire world the same opportunity to access such power, teachings and revelation from the “Helper” in the person of the Holy Spirit. Anyone who gives their life to Christ will have the Holy Spirit indwell them which will grant them power, teach, guide and convict them of any wrongdoing. This is the benefit of having the Holy Spirit.
