Rebuilding My Devotional Life in Christ Jesus
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world;
(John 9:4-5 KJV)
Ephesians 2:10 describes the believer as God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that God has prepared in advance for the believer to walk in. The reason Jesus came to die was to deliver humankind from the power of the devil. He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil against us. Sicknesses, diseases, poverty and all forms of bondages and hardships are the works of the devil. Child of God, our Father as well as the creation are eagerly awaiting our manifestation. Our Lord Jesus has entrusted to us the same anointing and power of the Holy Ghost that enabled Him to manifest the Father’s works. God is therefore waiting and counting on us to also do the same while we live. Every child of God is the light of the world and is expected to shine. It is the Holy Ghost who continually empowers us to shine and as we shine, the darkness has no choice but to give way for the light to shine. Beloved, let our light so shine before men that they will see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.
Father God, thank you for creating me for good works. Help me to shine all the days of my life. In Jesus’s name. Amen
